Orders and Commissions

So you want something handmade by me? AWESOME!
Check out my Etsy
store, my ArtFire shop, or check
around this web site. Don't see what you're looking for, or it's
already sold? Chances are, I CAN BUILD IT AGAIN. *superhero
pose* You can always drop
me a line at wickedorin(at)gmail(dot)com and ask about anything
you're interested in.
If you'd like to commission
something, I work in vagueries and broad terms! Well, not
always. But usually. "A seahorse-like creature" turned
into this, and "A tree for my desk" turned
into this, so. I think it's safe to say that the more
creative freedom I have, the better the end product. Color
choices, favorite video games or characters, or just plain moods are a
good start for me.
Very Blunt Terms for Commissions
-
Payment in advance, via Paypal, money order or concealed US cash only. For larger/more expensive orders, I'm really very happy to consider half up-front and half after I've finished something. And taken a great deal of pictures, of course. Everything else, I will require payment first. See my Etsy feedback to know I'm not gonna screw you.
-
Work in progress pictures are always available. Just let me know whether you want them, and also whether or not you want me to make them "public". (I often share progress pictures openly just to show what I'm working on.)
-
I'm very happy to work with the customer to get them exactly what they want. But I do have a complaint policy. This sounds terribly scary, I know. I have never had a problem with customers constantly complaining. But if things are picked apart repeatedly to where I am not going to profit at all due to so many changes, I will refund your money and refuse any additional commissions from this particular person. I will also sell whatever work is completed to someone else at a discount.

Shipping and handling fees are thought of carefully, thank you. They include packaging, the actual cost of shipping, and gas to get to the post office and back. Considering most things can be sent in the US for $5 (and up to $7 internationally), I really don't think that's too much to ask. Larger items and sculpture will of course cost more to ship due to the insane amount of packing materials I use, which are usually quite necessary. I don't know about anyone else, but mailmen around here love to DROP things on the porch. Dicks.

If something doesn't fit right, or at any point something breaks, send it back and it will be fixed without charge--within reason. "Fixed" means that something has either broken or is simply not right, can be easily corrected, and sent back. "Rebuilt because someone was an idiot and decided to deconstruct or get really rough with something" means you better buy yourself another one. But not from me, as I have the right to refuse to send something else to someone likely to rip it apart.
If anyone forces me to come up with another rule, said rule will be named after them.
