Si'Ette
All dressed up in
what might be referred to as "parade armor", Si'Ette
strikes a familiar pose. Gold drawn from the eastern mountains,
meticulously layered over cobalt ire (stronger than steel and easier
to work with), strings of rare pearls from the Relenden Sea and
teardrop gems made of Sel's infamous "unbreakable glass"--he's
all glamor. The armor wasn't made for battle... but it's seen
some, passed along for generations. And if you look closely,
the pride in his step is hampered a bit by the limp of some old
broken bones. He's just young enough to still believe they're
fighting for a cause, and just jaded enough not to tell the children
he's inspiring to run away rather than join the army. What was
once ceremonial decoration has turned to a silent declaration of kill
or be killed--even if no one thinks to ask why anymore.
I know, my head's a very messed-up sort of place.
*grin* This guy... was an experiment. Since I've been
playing with beads lately, I came up with a vague idea of this... and
then somehow, about a month later, you get Si'Ette. I never am
sure how it happens, frankly. Oh, you can see the Symbol of
Origin on either side of his shoulder armor. Sooner or later,
that will matter. I swear.
